In 2005 I tore my Achilles tendon. The doctors at UNC Hospital (Chapel Hill, NC) were able to repair the complete rupture. (You can see the reattachment point by following my finger in the video.) Unfortunately, underwhelming rehab led to a horrible amount of scar tissue and knots developing in/around my ankle. (You'll notice the tension when the gun begins to 'jump like a jackhammer' over parts of my foot/ankle.)🤦🏾♀️ Recently, in addition to deep tissue massage and reflexology, I've started using a massage gun to break up the scar tissue in hopes of reducing my discomfort and restoring a larger range of motion with my foot/ankle. 🤞🏾 So far, so good. I'm starting to experience a little bit of relief.
